When working a desk job, it can be really difficult to see the effects your job might have on your body. It’s hard to see because it’s not happening right in front of us, and it happens over time. With that said, it’s important to understand that your work station plays a huge role in your health for many different reasons, as well as in your productivity at work. Take a look at the many ways to you create a positive work environment for the best health.

Desk

Your desk should be clean and free of clutter, in fact, the less items on your desk, the better your mind can focus on your task at hand. It’s also important that you desk be at the proper height. If you can get a standing desk- do it!

Chair

Because your desk has been adjusted to a healthy height, your chair may need to follow suit. Make sure that when you sit down at your desk, you’re arms are at a 90 degree angle when typing.

 Feet

Believe it or not, the improper position of your foot on the ground could have an effect on your back, resulting in bad posture. Just because you don’t stand on your feet all day, doesn’t mean your feet and body are unaffected.

While there are many more tips to creating a healthy work environment, these are just a few of the most important, and easy ways to give yourself the gift of positivity. If you go to these measures and still experience chronic pain or back pain, be sure to contact a local chiropractor today. Stay tuned to our next blog for even more tips on your healthy work station.
